CASA DO LAGO

After living 4 years in the US, in both Florida and California, we spent some time in Brazil to restore and optimize one of our favorite properties in Itu (outskirts of Sao Paulo), where we raised our children and shared unforgettable moments.

It was originally planned as a garage for a vintage car collection in a large lot surrounded by trees, with a beautiful lake view. Casa do Lago is now a “smart house” deeply embedded in nature; not only did we apply everything we learned about sustainability and a modern lifestyle, but also the cost of maintenance was minimized.

The result was an astonishing dynamic 360 view. Every side of the house focuses on a different view: the woods, the lake, the extended grass area and the tree tops. We were also loyal to the principles our company, so the wood used to build the house were all certified, the external painting is made with chalk and the internal painting is water based, the lighting are all LEDs, the heating system is solar-powered and the extensive choice of recycled materials was used.

VILLA TOSCANA

Villa Toscana is situated in a private residential community in the historical city of Itu, located at 90km from Sao Paulo. It is a place where you can play golf on a traditional and challenging course; where you can spend an afternoon finishing a great book, playing tennis on the numerous high-quality courts, or riding a horse.

The house, originally from 1970, was transformed into a nice Italian style villa, using sustainable materials like solar heating, bamboo curtains, certified wood, whitewashed walls, wood floorings and bricks from an old farmhouse in Minas Gerais, and a lush natural landscape.

CASA ARCHITETTURA

Casa Architettura is located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods of Sao Paulo: Jardim Paulistano. It is a residential neighborhood in the heart of the city and made exclusively for houses. The residents know each other and it is a safe environment.

Sustainability was kept in mind throughout the construction process. The materials from the demolished house were carefully disassembled and sold, the hardwood floor used in the new house came from an old farmhouse in Minas Gerais, demolition bricks were used in the living room walls, solar heaters were installed, and landscaping made use of native plants.

This house won an architectural award and was featured in the cover of 2 decorating magazines.

VILLA BIANCA

A cozy house located on a strategic corner at Jardim Paulistano, two blocks away from the British School of Sao Paulo and one block away from a trendy area which is known to have several wonderful restaurants.

Besides providing an oasis of tranquility in the bustling city of Sao Paulo, it is also a 5 minute walk to the most important design district in the country: Alameda Gabriel Monteiro de Silva.

VILLA PAULISTANA

A few years after buying our lovely little house at Rua Santa Cristina, another opportunity came on the same street, this time a much larger house with a bold architecture from the 50s, with many curves and a ladder with interesting design. A nice entrance door and columns were kept.

The exterior of the house was completely re-designed, transforming the house into an adorable Italian villa. The result was amazing and the house is now one of the most charming of houses in the neighborhood.

VILLA BLU

Villa Blu is located in the most beautiful white sand beach of the state of São Paulo; Barra do Sahy. An exclusive area with a restricted access, surrounded by Atlantic vegetation, magical sunsets and an everlasting sea.

With a lush tropical landscape developed by a renowned professional, 2 fisherman cottages were transformed in a comfortable modern-rustic lofts.

Natural and recycled materials were largely used in that project, the structure was made of treated eucalyptus, recycled bricks on the floor, solar heating and limebased pain.

BEACH COTTAGE

Laguna Beach was a love at first sight, nestled between the sparkling blue Pacific and majestic canyons, it is a year-round treat for art lovers, nature enthusiasts, and beachgoers. We found this lovely old cottage with a huge tree in the front yard and just a few steps from the endless blue sea next to Heisler Park.

The restoration process took more than a year and we did it all by ourselves, while enjoying the real "American Dream" of living with our front door always open and enjoying a magical place, filled with friendly people, flowers and the best weather in the world.

THE GROVE HOUSE

During a Coconut Grove bike ride, we had a pleasant surprise that sealed our decision to expand Wallbros business to the United States.

A small white house situated in a unique neighborhood, where neighbors are ever so friendly, children play freely on the streets and the traffic is local. Located besides Kennedy Park, marinas and the charming CocoWalk Mall and restaurants.

Facing a new business environment, many challenges were overcome, both technical and bureaucratic, a new team of professionals was developed and to our delight, the project was successful.

RITZ CARLTON - COCONUT GROVE

With one child living in California, one in Miami and Wallbros USA established, it became necessary to have a nice and handy place to serve as basis for the family, a pied-à-terre, we found the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, the ideal setting from which to take in the panoramic views of Biscayne Bay, Coral Gables, and Miami’s glittering skyline… a gorgeous property in the heart of one of the city’s most enchanting neighborhoods.
